7001.0004.00 – EF5500 Comet Everflo Diaphragm Pump 5.5 GPM @ 60 PSI 1/2″

7001.0004.00 EF5500 Comet Everflo Diaphragm Pump 5.5 GPM @ 60 PSI 1/2″. 12 volt diaphragm pumps for small spraying jobs and inter-row weeding, gardening, sanitizing and cleaning caravans and boats, treating lawns and green areas, disinfecting vehicles and farms. Approved for use with Roundup.

Note: These demand flow pumps require a balanced flow with a properly sized nozzle. Pumps with a small nozzle will cycle the motor on/off too often and will prematurely wear out the microswitch.

Customer Questions & Answers

  1. A The main difference between this model and the bleach pump is the electronic leak protection system. The Bleach pump has a sensor that detects leaks inside the motor and shuts off the pump and illuminates the indicator light. If this happens then the pump head can be removed and replaced with a new one.
  2. Q Can you use this pump for soft washing? answer now

You theoretically could, but we suggest you simply build your setup to have gravity take care of the flow for you. As long as your tank outlet is above your pump inlet, you should be fine. And keep the tank as close to the pump as possible without the water supply hose having to go up ever again. Also fill your tank as far up as you can and use at least 125 Gallon Holding Tank for best results. The bigger the tank, the better in terms of water flow as the weight of the water will push down into the tank outlet and help with the flow through gravity. The water supply should be at least 1 in. for 4 GPM Pumps, 1-1/4 in. for 5 to 7.5 GPM Pumps and 1-1/2 in. for 8 and more.

If you use a pump for tank suction and feed into another pump, you add a potentially unnecessary component that can fail to your setup. The less moving parts, the better for easier maintenance & less troubleshooting when something goes wrong.
